Under the leadership of Arne’s son, Marc Glimcher, Pace continues to represent some of the most influential artists and estates of the 20th and 21st centuries[2][4]. The gallery has held decades-long relationships with renowned artists such as Alexander Calder, Jean Dubuffet, Barbara Hepworth, Agnes Martin, Louise Nevelson, and Mark Rothko[3][5].

One of Pace’s key strengths is its ability to showcase seminal historical and contemporary exhibitions, while also supporting its artists and sharing their visionary work with audiences worldwide[5]. The gallery maintains a robust global program that includes exhibitions, artist projects, public installations, institutional collaborations, performances, and interdisciplinary projects[5].

In recent years, Pace has made significant investments in its global footprint. In 2019, the gallery opened a new 70,000 sq ft flagship space in New York’s Chelsea district, designed by Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture[4]. This space has welcomed almost 120,000 visitors and hosted 20 shows in its first six months[5].

Pace has also expanded its presence in Asia, with permanent gallery spaces in Hong Kong and Seoul, as well as an office and viewing room in Beijing[5]. In September 2024, the gallery will open its first space in Japan, located in Tokyo’s new Azabudai Hills development[2][5].

The Pace Gallery’s commitment to art bookmaking is another notable aspect of its legacy. The gallery has published over five hundred titles in close collaboration with artists, focusing on original scholarship and introducing new voices to the art historical canon[5].

As Pace continues to evolve and grow, it remains dedicated to its mission of supporting artists and sharing their work with the world. With its global reach, innovative programming, and commitment to excellence, the Pace Gallery is poised to remain a leader in the contemporary art world for years to come.
